I'm not sure I ever thought I would actually see this, the day in which the Department of Homeland Security becomes nervous about conservatives and labels conservatives as security threats, for no other reason other than their beliefs in small government. That, combined with the softening of its language against terrorists abroad, means the gap is closing between the height of concern the government has toward its own conservative citizens and sworn enemies abroad. This path cannot continue forever. If you lower your defenses toward your enemies, they'll annihilate you out of hatred. If you start oppressing your own people, they'll annihilate you in self-defense of their own God-given inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That's the logical end of liberal ideology.

Path to Oppression
This report by the Department of Homeland Security reveals a dangerous path our own supposed protectors are taking, in which they label conservative citizens as threats. We shouldn't be surprised that liberals think conservatives are threats. We should, however, be alarmed that we are seen as the enemy by those who should be protecting us. Did you ever think you'd see the day when your own Homeland Security would label you a dangerous threat to the extent that you believed in small government?
This illustrates a gaping liberal fallacy: by oppressing people simply for their conservative ideology, they are actually producing a self-fulfilling prophecy. Their concerns that conservatives will strike back are warranted. But it's not because we are radical or bigoted. It's because we love freedom, and we will fight back if attacked in order to preserve freedom. The one way for liberals to stop radicals from taking up arms would be to stop the oppression of conservatives through the expansion of government, and to require the government to actually fulfill its constitutional mandate to protect the conservative ideals on which it was founded, to return the power to the people in adherence with its original intent, and to oppress any wicked ideology which unjustly usurped power from the people by increasing the size of government beyond its constitutional limits. Then there would be no need for conservatives to fight against government, because government would be fighting for conservative values as it was created to do.
