Obama's home state is now the epicenter of this week's global cooling narrative. Chicago ended August with temperature lows not seen since 1872. I know Obama likes to compare himself with Abe Lincoln. That's ironic because Chicago hasn't been this cold since 7 years after honest Abe died. We should open the history books and find out what US Grant had to say about how humans were destroying the planet last time Chicago reached this inferno state. Can somebody find me a Civil War book and look up global warming?

It is imperative that Americans stay informed and monitor their representative's actions. There is a great site called The People Decide which allows you view your representatives and their voting records, to vote on issues and see how other people are voting, to read the bills. On a single well designed dashboard you have your reps votes compared to yours to see what percentage of the time you agree with them. There's also links to email them. Today I wrote a letter to my representative to ask her to vote no on a couple of bills.

I am writing to express my displeasure with your vote in favor of the American Clean Energy and Security Acts of 2009. This decision was, in my opinion, naive and based on bad science, and will cripple our economy. It is unsustainable for us to prohibit and industrialized nation from emitting carbon. I believe that this policy represents and unconstitutional violation of federal power over the private sector. The majority of Americans agree with me and do not want to see such a radical liberal policy hindering American economic progress.
Further, I am writing to express my strong desire that you vote NO to the America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009 should it come for vote. Particularly page 16 of the Bill, which limits the consumer choice of a private plan and will end up monopolizing the health care industry. Countries with public health care suffer poor health care and immense tax rates of greater than 50% for the entire population. This will be catastrophic for our prosperity and a violation of our freedom and unlawful intrusion of the government into the private sector.
The Constitution limits the power of government and protects the free market. By voting yes on Energy Act, you have cooperated in violating my freedom. A vote of yes on the health care bill would amount to the same misconduct. I cannot afford to have someone so willing to trample on my rights in office any longer.
Biden says the stimulus is working. All we have to do is follow him everywhere he goes to see all the jobs saved. He said:
"Come see what I see everywhere I go: workers rehired, factories reopened, cops on the street, teachers in the classroom, progress toward getting our economy back on the move."
This is so enjoyable to behold. It seems as though the most liberal areas of the country are the hardest hit with global cooling. New Hampshire is suffering record lows. Any body up for some snowball fights, or maybe dog sled races. Mush!

Record lows were also posted in Rochester, NY (48 degrees) and Allentown, PA (50 degrees) on July 14th, 2009. Note, there were 593 record lows recorded in June alone (read Ice Age Now, Record Lows 2009, June 17 entry). If you count the 214 tied records, this makes 807 record or tied low temperatures last month alone! Some warming trend, huh?

Global warming is like any false religion. It's based on blind faith and eyes closed to facts, logic, reasoning that anyone with a toddler's intelligence could follow. And it's hilarious to see the utter denial of this naive religion's green panic police realizing that their visions of grandiosity and planet saving are not being realized because the planet's actually cooling itself without their help. Instead of waking up to the silliness of the lies they have believed and spread, the desperate libs only start yelling louder, staying faithful to the unnecessary cause, because, well, Pastor Al Gore told them to, and anyone smart enough to invent the Internet shouldn't be argued with.

If you're interested, check out a Fox News Article from 2008 which notes scientific observation of the largest temperature change in history (and it was a DECREASE in temperature). Another thing scientists have observed is that--and this is a shocker--solar activity has more of an impact on the earths temperature than human activity. That's right, you heard it first here, according to scientists, the sun has more to do with how hot it is outside than what car you drive.
Now, just to be fair to our environmentalist panic police, your car can certainly control the climate to some degree. Through a common device called "Air Conditioning", you can control the temperature of a small portion of the universe known by scientists as the your car's interior. But the temperature outside the car has more to do with the sun (i.e. "solar activity" according to really smart people who can figure this stuff out).
Have we really reached a place as a nation in which this sort of thing is necessary to say?
I wrote this letter and sent it to my Senator and Congressional Representative. I express my desire for the Constitution to be respected and for the Cap-and-Trade and Nationalized Health Care to be opposed. If you would like to use it, feel free to copy and send it along to your representatives.

Alan Carlin, working for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), wrote a 98-page report that was suppressed by the agency, because it disproved the theory of global warming with sound scientific data. From CNet News:
After reviewing the scientific literature that the EPA is relying on, Carlin said, he concluded that it was at least three years out of date and did not reflect the latest research. "My personal view is that there is not currently any reason to regulate (carbon dioxide)," he said. "There may be in the future. But global temperatures are roughly where they were in the mid-20th century. They're not going up, and if anything they're going down."Global temperatures are going down. Wake up people: global warming legislation is absolutely worthless, and designed for one purpose alone: tax, tax and tax.
Everybody has money to throw away these days. An extra three thousand dollars is nothing. I hear my neighbors practically begging me to take their money from them, throwing large briefcases stuffed with cash on my lawn.
Anybody want to pay an extra $3,000 per year in electrical costs? Well that's what the Cap-and-Trade law just passed in Congress will require. You can read the research here.
Here's my problem with this bill: it's asinine. Global warming doesn't exist. Need proof? Global hurricane threats are at 30 year lows. The earth is cooler right now than it was in 1934. The earth is not warming folks. We had record low temperatures all winter. NASA (i.e. James Hansen) fabricated climate data from 1910-2008, when the real data clearly shows the earth on a cooling trend over the last century.
The earth is not warming. This is the biggest hoax in the history of mankind. The data speaks for itself. Our real concern should be global cooling. The earth is the earth, and the earth is going to warm and cool itself. There's only one thing that warms the earth, it's called the sun. Cutting down a tree isn't going to do it. The sun can, though. We cannot let these liberals use a false alarm, disingenuous fabrication, to limit the free market and ruin the economy.
Not only is this bill asinine, it's utterly unconstitutional. The government is not allowed to interfere in the free market and tell companies what types of energy they can buy, or what they are allowed to burn. The government should be interested in one thing alone, getting out of the way and allowing companies to make money. Yet this administration seems hell-bent on telling companies what kind of cars to buy, how many of their own trees the can cut down, and what type of fuel to burn. All to save a cooling planet from warming, to solve a problem that doesn't exist, and to rally a bunch of people around a needless cause.
This is the tragedy of liberalism. By darkening the minds of people who adhere to it, it takes perfectly capable men and women, and handicaps them. It keeps people full of potential from amounting to anything. It dangles a carrot of ambition and lures them with the lie that if they sell their minds they can do something great, like save a planet, only to splash the cold-water of the scientific fact that the planet's actually cooling by itself in their faces after it's too late, leaving them with nothing but the shame of life-long regret at their own ineptitude and wasted existence.
